Claire is a Business Consultant with over 25 years’ Executive experience in Financial Services, Hospitality, and the wider commercial sector in Barbados.

She has also been privileged to study, live and work outside of Barbados, gaining invaluable business experience working with brands in North and Latin America. She is fluent in business Spanish and French.Claire has served on several private and public sector Boards in Barbados, including the Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. and sits on the Board of a privately held international business company. She currently offers Project Management services to a large regional financial services company on a mixed use development and also leads the Maria Holder Diabetes Centre for the Caribbean, a Non-Governmental Organization dedicated to education, prevention and a multidisciplinary approach to the management of diabetes in Barbados.

Claire is passionate about improving the lives of others and is not only a Trustee of The Barbados Community Foundation, but she often spends weekends in the trenches to support the grassroots social help group Bajans Helping Bajans.Claire is a married mother of 2 busy children who enjoys distance running, open water swimming, golf, mindfulness and is a lifelong student of global affairs. She is a committed recycler and advocate for the environment. Claire is a graduate of the University of the West Indies, Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland and l’Ecole Supérieure de Commerce, Grenoble , France. She is a former Barbados Scholar and winner of the Tom Adams Memorial Prize for Excellence in the Humanities
