Request A Grant

The BCF provides funding to registered charities and nonprofits.

If your organization is doing critical work within our Priority Impact Areas, we would love to hear about it.  Please provide a brief letter of inquiry (no more than 2-3 pages) by email, including the following information:

• Organizational Information

  • Legal name of the organization

  • Charitable registration number

  • Contact name, information, and their role with the organization

  • A brief description of the organization

• Request Details

  • Which Priority Impact Area you are applying for

  • Amount of the grant requested

  • Purposes for the grant; including how the organization or project is addressing one or more of our Priority Impact Areas

  • Description of the results or outcomes you hope to achieve

• Financial Information

  • Organizational and/or project budget

  • Most recent financial statements

 

All letters of inquiry are reviewed and assessed by the administrative team.  Where a good fit is identified, we will contact you to discuss and better understand your application and needs.  We are grateful for all submissions and know the need in the community is significant.  However, given our limited staff resources, we are not able to respond personally to every request.

 

Grants are approved on a rolling basis, with requests over $10,000 BDS requiring approval by our board of trustees which meets quarterly.  Successful grant recipients will be contacted directly once a decision has been made.
